• Paramount Airways has designed a unique Paramount Tier Review system (PTR) which clocks your Royale Miles programme. This system ensures that your Status Royale Miles or flight requirements never fall to zero, so you don't have to start the tier criteria accrual from scratch each year.

    Easy Tier Upgrades and Retention
With the PTR system, your Royale Miles account is reviewed for a tier upgrade on a daily basis. Moving a day ahead with each calendar date, the system looks at your flight activities within the preceding 365 days. When you meet the standard upgrade criteria, your membership tier is upgraded in the system on the same day.

For a frequent flyer, the programme offers a fast track upgrade option. In addition to evaluating your tier activities in a 12-month period, the PTR system also looks at your flight activities in the preceding 6 months. As shown in the table in this section, you can upgrade to a higher tier faster, if you meet the proportionately lower criteria within a continuously rolling 6-month window.

    Tier Upgrade

6 – month Fast Track Upgrade 12 – months Standard Upgrade

    Royale to Royale Plus

    10 flights / 15,000 miles

    Not applicable

Royale Plus to Royale Silver Not applicable

    20 flights / 30,000 miles

    Royale Silver to Royale Gold

    20flights / 30,000miles

    20 flights / 60,000 miles

    Royale Gold to Royale Platinum

    30 flights / 45,000miles

    20 flights / 90,000 miles

    Tier Validity
When you have achieved a certain tier, your tier is valid for exactly 12 months from the date of your upgrade. For example, if you upgrade from Royale Silver to Royale Gold on 15 October 2008, the validity of your Royale Gold tier will be till 14 October 2009.

During this period, if you further upgrade to Royale Platinum on 20 December 2008, then the validity of your Royale Platinum tier will continue to remain valid up to 19 December 2009 and only on this day will your Royale Mile account be brought up for tier review.

    Longer Period for Tier Retention
With the PTR system, retaining your tier has never been easier. When the Royale tier comes up for review, the system will take into account your flight activities recorded in the preceding 12 months. If you have met the required criteria any time within this period, your tier will be retained for an additional 12-month period.

In case you have not been able to meet the 12-month criteria, the PTR system will take into account the flight activities in the preceding 18 and 24 months as well, to enable you to retain your Royale tier. Also, the retention criteria for each of the longer time frames are lower in proportion.

You can enjoy faster tier upgrades and also retain your tier levels for a longer period when you fly regularly throughout the year or your travelling is concentrated only during certain periods in the year.
